Integrity Behavioral Health, we believe mental healthcare should be thoughtful, individualized, and built around the person-not just the diagnosis.
Our practice provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults. We also offer therapy services for adults. We take the time to understand each patient’s concerns, history, and goals so that the treatment can be tailored to their individual needs.

Dr. Mahir Shah
Dr. Mahir Shah is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and experience Medical Director with a distinguished career in mental health care. With expertise in both adult and child/adolescent mental health. Dr Shah specialized in treating a wide range of conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, PTSD, ADHD, and LGBTQ+ issues.
Dr Shah is also an accomplished Psychoanalyst with extensive experience in psychoanalysis, psychodynamic psychotherapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), couples counseling, attachment-based therapy, and family systems therapy. His approach emphasizes understanding the influence of early relationships an family dynamics on emotional well-being, fostering healthier connections and long-term resilience.
Dr. Shah has served as a mental health specialist for the World Health Organization (WHO) at a natural level, contributing to initiatives aimed at improving mental health care delivery and policy development.
At Integrity Behavioral Health, Dr. Shah leads a team dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based treatment tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. With a focus on creating supportive and welcoming environment, that practice is committed to fostering hope and healing for individuals and families.
Our Havanese therapy dog, Mugzy, has an important role at Integrity Behavioral Health: Welcoming patients, providing a little extra comfort, and reminding everyone that sometimes a wagging tail can make a difficult day a little easier.

Meet your Providers
Brett Wnuk is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) currently serving patients in the North and South Carolina in various settings, including outpatient, inpatient and emergency settings.
She began her Career working as a Mental Health Technician in the inpatient and residential settings for children and adolescents while completing her nursing degree. Once obtaining her nursing license, she gained comprehensive psychiatric experience working in a behavioral health emergency department. Brett then went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Frontier Nursing University in 2023. Her clinical experience in both large metropolitan and rural areas with limited access to mental health services has sparked a passion for delivering quality, affordable mental health care to all who seek a path to mental well-being.
In her free time, Brett enjoys weight training, cooking, doing her own gel nails and spending time with her husband and cat.

Christyl Champion is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who brings extensive healthcare experience to her work in behavioral health. She provides psychiatric evaluations and mediation management for children, adolescents, adults, and the older adults.
Christyl believes in good care begins with listening. She takes her time to understand each patient’s unique experiences, concerns, and goals, working together with her patients to develop an individualized approach in treatment.

About Me
Originally from Germany, where I worked as a pediatric nurse, I moved to Charlotte, NC, in 2004. I later pursued my passion for mental health, earing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Psychology with emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from California Southern University graduating in June 2022.
Experience
During my graduate studies, I gained valuable experience counseling fellow psychotherapist at Pfeiffer University from 2021 to 2022. This experience deepened my understanding of mental health and therapeutic practices, preparing me to provide compassionate and effective care to my clients.
In my spare time, I enjoy practicing yoga, engaging in cardio and weight training, and spending quality time with my family. I am passionate about helping individuals who suffer from a variety of mental health conditions, including but not limited to Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and those dealing with the aftermath of a dysfunctional upbringing. My goal is to empower my clients to become the best versions of themselves.

Jackie Lincoln, Office Manager
Jackie serves as the Office Manager at Integrity Behavioral Health, helping keep the day-today operations of the practice running smoothly while supporting both patient and the clinical team.
She if often the person behind the scenes making sure the details are taken are of, questions are answered, and the patient feel welcomed and supported when they reach our office. Jackie believes that a positive experience begins with being hear, respected and treated like a person-not just a name on the schedule. '
Outside of the office, Jackie a devoted mom to three sons, and according to anyone who knows her, slightly obsessed with her two Golden Retrievers, Violet and Theo. Weekends are often spent with the dogs exploring local farmer
s markets, walking trails, and looking for the next place they can all go together.
Krystal Sands, Administrative Assistant
Krystal brings more than ten years of experience in healthcare administration and takes pride in making every patient feel welcomed, comfortable and cared for from their first interaction with our office. Known for her personable nature and willingness to go above and beyond, she is dedicated to supporting both our patients and the Integrity Behavioral Health Team.
Outside of the office, Krystal enjoys tending to her rose garden and feeing her hummingbirds. She is a proud military wife of more than 20 years and a proud mother of two sons.
Our Four-Legged Office Favorite
Mugzy is a two-year-old Havanese and, by his own standards, a professional napper. You will often find him curled up on his favorite blanket, perfectly contact to sleep through the activity around him. However, mention a new person and he is usually happy to wake up and say hello.
Mugzy loves meeting people, but he also understands that not everyone is comfortable around dogs-and he doesn’t take it personally. If you would prefer that Mugzy stay in the front office during your visit, just let us know.
